Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Diamond Voices community.

 

Diamond Voices is a cultural, artistic, educational, and community-driven initiative dedicated to connecting people through music, podcasts, storytelling, creativity, collaboration, and intercultural dialogue. Our mission is to build bridges between communities and create a respectful environment where people from all backgrounds can share ideas, talents, experiences, and inspiration.

 

These Community Guidelines apply to all interactions on www.diamondvoices.org, our podcasts, social media channels, events, workshops, online communities, collaborative projects, and any other platform operated by Diamond Voices.

 

By participating in the Diamond Voices community, you agree to follow these Guidelines.

1. Our Core Values

Diamond Voices is founded upon the following principles:

  • Freedom of expression within legal boundaries

We believe that diversity strengthens communities and that meaningful dialogue can create positive social impact.

2. Respect Others

All members of the Diamond Voices community must treat others with dignity and respect.

You may not:

  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or bully others.

  • Engage in personal attacks.

  • Incite violence or hatred.

  • Deliberately provoke conflict or hostility.

  • Use abusive, defamatory, or degrading language.

  • Target individuals based on personal characteristics.
     

Disagreements are acceptable. Disrespectful behaviour is not.

3. Diversity and Inclusion

Diamond Voices welcomes participants regardless of:

  • Nationality

  • Ethnic origin

  • Language

  • Culture

  • Religion

  • Disability

  • Gender

  • Sexual orientation

  • Age

  • Socio-economic background
     

Discrimination, exclusion, or harassment directed at individuals or groups will not be tolerated.

4. Lawful and Responsible Behaviour

Participants must comply with all applicable laws, including Belgian and European legislation.

You may not:

  • Engage in illegal activity.

  • Promote unlawful conduct.

  • Share illegal content.

  • Encourage criminal behaviour.

  • Violate the rights of others.

Diamond Voices reserves the right to cooperate with competent authorities where legally required.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

You may only upload, share, or distribute content that:

  • You own; or

  • You have permission to use.

You may not:

  • Upload copyrighted material without authorization.

  • Misuse trademarks or protected brands.

  • Claim ownership of another person's work.

  • Distribute content that infringes intellectual property rights.
     

Participants remain responsible for the content they submit.

6. Respect for Artists and Creators

Diamond Voices supports fair treatment of creators, artists, musicians, podcasters, writers, photographers, and other contributors.

Participants should:

  • Properly credit creators whenever possible.

  • Respect creative ownership.

  • Avoid plagiarism.

  • Obtain permission before reusing content.

Unauthorized use of another person's work may result in removal of content and suspension of participation.

7. Safe and Constructive Communication

We encourage:

  • Constructive discussions.

  • Open-minded dialogue.

  • Thoughtful feedback.

  • Positive collaboration.

  • Cultural exchange.

We discourage:

  • Hostility.

  • Personal attacks.

  • Deliberate misinformation.

  • Provocation.

  • Excessive negativity.
     

Members should contribute in ways that strengthen the community.

8. Prohibited Content

The following content is prohibited:

  • Hate speech.

  • Harassment.

  • Threats of violence.

  • Extremist content.

  • Terrorist propaganda.

  • Child exploitation material.

  • Fraudulent content.

  • Defamatory statements.

  • Illegal drugs trafficking content.

  • Malware or malicious software.

  • Content promoting criminal activities.
     

Diamond Voices may immediately remove prohibited content without notice.

9. Privacy and Personal Data

Respect the privacy of others.

Do not:

  • Publish personal information without consent.

  • Share private communications without permission.

  • Dox individuals.

  • Collect personal information unlawfully.

  • Misuse personal data.

All processing of personal data is governed by the Diamond Voices Privacy Policy and applicable Belgian and European data protection legislation.

10. Podcasts, Events and Public Participation

Participants in podcasts, interviews, recordings, workshops, performances, community projects, or public events are expected to act respectfully and professionally.

Diamond Voices reserves the right to:

  • Edit recordings.

  • Decline participation.

  • Remove participants from projects.

  • Cancel participation where behaviour negatively affects the community.
     

Participation in any project or event does not create any ownership, employment, partnership, or financial rights unless separately agreed in writing.

11. Spam and Promotional Content

Without prior authorization, you may not:

  • Send unsolicited advertising.

  • Share repetitive promotional messages.

  • Conduct unauthorized fundraising.

  • Use Diamond Voices platforms primarily for commercial promotion.

  • Manipulate engagement through automated activity.
     

Reasonable promotion related to community projects may be permitted when approved by Diamond Voices.

12. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Use

Users may not:

  • Scrape community content.

  • Harvest participant information.

  • Use automated systems to collect data.

  • Use content to train artificial intelligence systems without authorization where such authorization is required by law.
     

Diamond Voices reserves all rights regarding the protection of community content, databases, podcasts, recordings, and creative works.

13. Reporting Violations

Community members are encouraged to report behaviour that violates these Guidelines.

Reports should include:

  • A description of the conduct.

  • Any relevant evidence.

  • The identity of the person involved, if known.

Diamond Voices will review reports in good faith and may take appropriate action.

14. Enforcement Measures

Where a violation occurs, Diamond Voices may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Issue a warning.

  • Remove content.

  • Restrict participation.

  • Suspend access.

  • Terminate participation.

  • Exclude individuals from events or projects.

  • Report unlawful conduct to competent authorities.
     

Diamond Voices may take action without prior warning where necessary to protect the community or comply with legal obligations.

15. Limitation of Responsibility

Community members remain solely responsible for:

  • Their statements.

  • Their content.

  • Their conduct.

  • Their interactions with others.
     

Diamond Voices does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of opinions expressed by participants, contributors, guests, artists, speakers, volunteers, or community members.

16. Compliance with Belgian and European Law

These Community Guidelines shall be interpreted in accordance with:

  • The Belgian Code of Economic Law (Wetboek Economisch Recht / Code de droit économique);

  • The Belgian Civil Code;

  • The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR);

  • Applicable anti-discrimination legislation;

  • Applicable intellectual property legislation;

  • Other relevant Belgian and European laws.
     

Nothing in these Guidelines shall limit any mandatory rights granted under Belgian or European law.

17. Amendments

Diamond Voices reserves the right to modify these Community Guidelines at any time.


Updated versions shall become effective upon publication on the website.


Continued participation in the Diamond Voices community constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines.

18. Child Safety and Youth Protection

Diamond Voices is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for children, young people, and vulnerable individuals participating in our community, projects, events, podcasts, workshops, and online platforms.

We maintain a zero-tolerance approach toward any form of child exploitation, abuse, grooming, harassment, or endangerment.

Protection of Minors

Participants under the age of 18 may only participate in certain activities where:

  • The participation is lawful.

  • Appropriate parental or legal guardian consent has been obtained where required.

  • Participation is supervised when appropriate.

  • The activity is consistent with the educational, cultural, or community objectives of Diamond Voices.
     

Diamond Voices reserves the right to request proof of parental or legal guardian consent at any time.

Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

  • Sexual exploitation of minors.

  • Grooming or attempted grooming of minors.

  • Soliciting personal information from minors for inappropriate purposes.

  • Harassment, intimidation, or bullying of children.

  • Sharing inappropriate, harmful, or illegal content with minors.

  • Encouraging dangerous, illegal, or self-harming activities.

  • Any form of exploitation of children or vulnerable persons.
     

Any violation may result in immediate removal, suspension, permanent exclusion, and referral to the competent authorities.

Reporting Child Safety Concerns

Any user who becomes aware of behaviour, content, or activity that may endanger a child or vulnerable person should report it immediately.

Reports should include as much relevant information as possible.

Cooperation with Authorities

Where Diamond Voices becomes aware of suspected child exploitation, abuse, grooming, trafficking, or other unlawful conduct involving minors, we reserve the right to:

  • Remove the relevant content immediately.

  • Suspend or terminate access to our services.

  • Preserve evidence where legally required.

  • Cooperate with law enforcement authorities.

  • Report the matter to competent Belgian or international authorities.
     

Diamond Voices may take such action without prior notice where necessary to protect children or comply with applicable law.

Child Privacy

Diamond Voices recognizes the heightened privacy rights of children under the GDPR and Belgian privacy legislation.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without an appropriate legal basis and, where required,
parental or guardian consent.

The processing of children's personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable Belgian and European data protection laws.

Commitment to Safety

The safety and well-being of children and young people are fundamental values of Diamond Voices.

All participants are expected to contribute to a respectful, secure, and positive environment that promotes creativity, learning, cultural understanding, and personal development while safeguarding the rights and dignity of minors.
